Conspiracy Theory

Who doesn't like to read about a possible conspiracy?  Lets take an event,  real or imagined and write up a conspiracy theory about how the event actually unfolded instead of how the mainstream media reported it.  Remember,  this is fiction so you don't have to worry about the risk of prosecution.

Snow Wraith

 

Is that blur a ghost, a snow wraith?  Or is it just a trick of light on a falling snowflake?  What do you see through your view finder?  Write a little Flashy Fiction about it.

Today, you will write about your character's break through. It could be from a personal problem, a business proposal, or being accepted in their line of endeavor.

You need not punch through brick walls to make your point. You just need to find your stride.

Time travel is possible.  Send your characters backward or forward in time or perhaps jump around through the milenia several times.

Nonviolent Protest

In honor of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., whose birthday was celebrated yesterday as a U.S. Federal holiday, write a little Flashy Fiction involving a character leading a nonviolent protest against something.  The story could center around one particular protest or about the leader and what compels him/her to lead the struggle...and why it's nonviolent.  Maybe you could take the point of view of the person/people the protests are targeting.

WE NEED A HERO

You are a super hero. You have your powerful persona and your secret identity. Keeping them separate is key. But today, you need a day off. The pressure of keeping up with your alter ego has worn you to a frazzle. Write about your "escape". Have a non- amazing day just for a change of pace.

Check Engine

 

The dreaded Check Engine light.  Dreaded because it doesn't really indicate what's wrong, just that you need to have your car checked out before something worse happens.  What if people came with check engine lights?  Maybe yours is already on.  Write a little Flashy Fiction about why your Check Engine light is on and what you're doing to fix it.  What's it going to take to get your motor back into tip top shape?

The only thing we have to fear...

Today, write about fear. Conquering it, or succumbing to it. What's your character's greatest fear? Or write about a feeling of impending doom...a test you're about to fail, or the end of the world.

The only thing we have to fear, is not writing. So buckle in, grab your pen, and scare up a good story today.
