Monday Musings...the mysterious lady

Giacomo Brogi (1822-1881), Portrait of a lady. Image courtesy of Wikimedia Commons
You are sorting through some old black and white photographs mounted in an dusty album which you found in your parents' attic.  You suddenly discover a portrait, perhaps like the one above.  There is a 19th century date and the name and address of a European photographer's studio stenciled on the back.  Who is she?

GHOST WRITER

Your muse seems to be writing itself.
Maybe you're not in control of what you write.
There's a Ghost Writer underfoot.

You're the ghost, write your observations of the author's writing process!

MONOCHROMATIC IS MORE DRAMATIC

When Dorothy landed in OZ, the colors enhanced her journey.
But, sometimes seeing things in black and white is more stark; more real.
Break your colored pencils and break away from how you envision things.
Get a feeling as if you are a Film Noir detective searching for a wealthy heiress that her husband wants left unfound.
Two twists: the husband is your twin brother, and you are color-blind.
Write me a flashy bit of mystery!

TIME FOR A CHANGE

Photo from Peanuts - Charles Schultz

Mike asked me to fill in for him. He has been exploring the concept of time, so in keeping with his vision...

Answer these:
The time of day, a make and model of car, your favorite food, a city anywhere in the world, the guadiest color, an exotic women's name, and a strange occupation. Now look out your window. Whatever the weather is, reverse it (if it's sunny, make it rain, snow, whatever...).

Using all these variables, write a mystery piece beginning with Snoopy's famous opening line, "It was a dark and stormy night..."
