Sunday Funday

"Do you even want the money?" he asks, pushing the pile of bills at me.

I shake my head.

"And why not?" he asks.

Friday Funkday

One more noise and I swear I'd murder them all.

"Trying. To. Study!" I said again, looking around the table of misfits the librarian had stuck me with. There was only five minutes left before the Biology test, and I was wholly unprepared.

But when I looked back down at my paper, a triangle shaped note was on it. I furrowed my brow, and slowly unwrapped it, not sure how it'd gotten there.

The first line made my breath catch:

"If you're reading this, it's too late."

"What's wrong with me?"

The psychiatrist peers at me over his steepled fingers.

"I have a diagnosis."

"And?"

"You're straight up crazy."

Friday Funkday

Walking through the snow, I looked ahead, down the whited-out street. It was empty, just like the street before. And the one before that. I trudged on, hoping for contact. For anyone.

"Stop right there!"

The voice startled me. And even though I'd been waiting for so long, I wasn't sure I could turn around.
