BLACK AND WHITE AND READ ALL OVER"Jocko" Philbin was astounded by the sheer number of newspapers and periodical publications that were presented at the corner newsstand. Some of the titles were very apparent. Good Housekeeping, Workbench, Sports Illustrated... they all had their niche."Jocko" seemed to be drawn to the less obvious titles. New England Sand Mite Journal sounded interesting. Mother's Wooden Spoon sounded like it was full of familiar recipes. Crabs Alive! brought a smile to "Jocko"'s face. He loved seafood. He figured that as soon as he got the penicillin taste out of his mouth, he'd take out a subscription. You had to love his naivete!
