OMG! Did I just see what I thought I saw?!

These l'il kids were watching a puppet show.  Ohmigosh!  What just happened?  Whatever did they see?

The Minsk Theater of Youth had come to the Academy to perform for the young children of the town of Dimitriov. The young ones were brought into the ampitheater and filled the seats row after row.

Pavel Popolov knew the show would be very exciting, having traveled to Minsk with Mama and his older sister, Olga. But the young man's dilemma was one of the heart. For you see, Pavel was an eight year old lothario. The young girls in the neighborhood were taken in by his charming smile and wide inquiring brown eyes. And there was no mistaking, Pavel enjoyed the attention.

Natalia and Walentyna both yearned to gain Pavel's favor; to savor his candy sweet demeanor.
Pavel could not decide between the two. He liked them both.

But such serious decisions were not in a hurry to be made. Pavel knew that nature would provide the answer to his "problem".

During the puppet show, Pavel sat between Natalia and Walentyna, just as he had planned. The children were delighted but the antics of Popo and Miska, the cat and mouse, but especially Pavel. He remembered when he had seen the show previously there was a frightening part where Popo tries to eat his little rodent adversary.

Laughter filled the hall and the show neared conclusion. Just as Popo opened his mouth and headed toward Miska Pavel feigned fear and clutched at both girls hands, thinking that the one who did not pull away would be the girl for him. But best laid plans of Miskas and little Russian boys sometimes go astray.

Pavel felt both young ladies lean into him and grab his hand tightly. Still, Pavel could not make a choice. But he did not care. His Uncle Ivan was happy with many girlfriends. Why would Pavel need to decide?

    1. I totally love this one, Walt! You did a simply brilliant job with the prompt - a 'wish I'd thought of it' moment! ☼

    2. Walt, hilarious! :-D
      Great pic-prompt, RJ!

  2. "Ahhh, I want my mother!" Sidney was screaming as loudly as she could. Her older brother Jason was screaming... with laughter. " Why are you laughing Jason? That is NOT funny. "Please Sidney, lighten up!"
For kids of 5 and 4 living in the 1900's in London, Jason being oldest with his stunning blue eyes and bleach blone hair and Sidney at age 4 with her brown locks and chocolate truffle eyes; they had an extremly extensive vocabulary. For their mother, Anette, had enrolled them in a privet school in London for good teaching. She thought that advanced learning was bestif they wanted spouses.
Every other Wednesday, they went to a puppet show in the London square. They usually went alone because there was a near by Police Station. This time the Puppet Master was NOT in a good mood. His wife had just left him for another man. He felt as mad as ever. Extremley mad that he thought he might take it out on his living. He had 2 juicey, ripe, glistening tomatoes, 1 puppet and a small wooden knife.
Skipping down the road as Big Ben chimed 3, the children thought they were in for a treat. They were talking to each other about the last preformance. "Oh, dear brother, I wonder what we are in for this time!" stated Sidney 'Oh my young delightful sister, I hope we are in for quite a treat!" replied Jason. " Oh, I bet we are." said Sidney joyfully.
They took their usual seats, Front row, third bench. Right dead center. The young duo were in for a surprise. For the rage of the puppet master was upon them and they didn't even know it.
As the show went on the end of the preformance was the worst. Not even that Pinocio got gobbed up by the sea and came out with 2 broken arms in the middle, but that Pinocio got murdered by his fellow classmates when he was a real boy as the conclution! The finale was quite graphic. Crushing the 2 juciey tomatoes with his boney, hairy hands with all his rage forced upon them, with one huge blow! Their juice was to repesent his blood, and the knife was jabbed into where the puppent's heart should be.
And now we end at the beginning
