Incorporate a rainbow in to your fiction today.  Perhaps your character(s) follow a rainbow to its' end and find something other than a pot of gold.   Maybe there is something special about the colors that are seen.  These is not much in nature more beautiful than a rainbow.  Have fun seeing where your imagination will take you today.

Whether a corporate cubicle, plush corner office in a big city high rise, or a quaint home office, you have some decorations and knick knacks.  They represent memories or things that make you smile while under the task master's lash or dreams of other places.  Write a bit of Flashy Fiction about an object found in your office.

You are sorting through some old black and white photographs mounted in an dusty album which you found in your parents' attic.  You suddenly discover a portrait, perhaps like the one above.  There is a 19th century date and the name and address of a European photographer's studio stenciled on the back.  Who is she?

Pneumo

It means ‘breath.” Something most of us take for granted every day. Including me, until this past week, when I have had a nasty bout of pneumonia.

Today, write about breath. Someone’s last, perhaps. Or someone’s first. Or that first fresh breath of spring, or fall. Or write about taking a breather – a timeout, a hiatus, or a sabbatical. Or get silly, and write about someone with the worst halitosis ever.

EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED

Life is a mystery. And very unpredictable. Sometimes we are cruising along and then...BAM!, reality sets in. Will we be prepared? Write something with an unexpected result.

Changes

Changes take place.  We are nearing the final days of Summer in the Northern hemisphere and already seeing the early signs of fall.  For your fiction today, incorporate a major change or a turning point.

Ho Ho Ho

Christmas is just around the corner...after Halloween and Thanksgiving, anyway.  I wouldn't be surprised if some stores already have some decorations on sale.  You can't start that Christmas marketing too soon.  Today's prompt:  Write some Flashy Fiction about what Santa's up to at this point in the year?
