Monday Musings - Three Friends

Pneumo

It means ‘breath.” Something most of us take for granted every day. Including me, until this past week, when I have had a nasty bout of pneumonia.

Today, write about breath. Someone’s last, perhaps. Or someone’s first. Or that first fresh breath of spring, or fall. Or write about taking a breather – a timeout, a hiatus, or a sabbatical. Or get silly, and write about someone with the worst halitosis ever.

EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED

Life is a mystery. And very unpredictable. Sometimes we are cruising along and then...BAM!, reality sets in. Will we be prepared? Write something with an unexpected result.

Changes

Changes take place.  We are nearing the final days of Summer in the Northern hemisphere and already seeing the early signs of fall.  For your fiction today, incorporate a major change or a turning point.

Ho Ho Ho

Christmas is just around the corner...after Halloween and Thanksgiving, anyway.  I wouldn't be surprised if some stores already have some decorations on sale.  You can't start that Christmas marketing too soon.  Today's prompt:  Write some Flashy Fiction about what Santa's up to at this point in the year?

Tragedy

Today, September 11th, is Patriot Day in America.  A day to remember those who died in the terrorist attacks eleven years ago.  In addition to the victims, there were heroes.  People who risked life and limb to save as many people as they could.

For today's prompt, think of a tragedy.  Write a flashy piece describing what you were doing there before tragedy struck, or how you came to be at the scene trying to save lives...or maybe you were the one who caused it, intentionally or not.
